This next-to-skin soft batt, is suitable for spinning and felting. It was designed with spinning in mind, and to be a much more ‘usable’ art batt (an art batt, without all the frills and fru-fru, these yarns look great, but leave fewer options of what you can do with them!).

The batt is not too ‘out there’ with any one element (texture, colour etc). This more subdued art batt, would look great felted, or spun (fine or chunky)! If spinning for subtlety, I recommend splitting the batt lengthwise, and pre-drafting, to ensure a more even distribution of textured elements.

110g Total fibre weight: Ultra-fine Merino hand dyed grey scale, white mulberry silk, black and deep navy blue silk (in both recycled sari silk fibres and a more fluffy slub-style silk fibre). And a few silver Angelina threads for little sparkle.

The Fibre is hand dyed and drum carded - the textured/slippery and shiny inclusions sandwiched between a layer of lovely soft Merino. Please see the video for a batter idea as the greyscale outer layers are hiding all the goodies :)
