'Autumn with the Celts' - Necklace

'Autumn with the Celts' - Necklace
I am fascinated by symbology. In Greek, the term triskelion means three legged. The triskele, or triskelion is one of those “power of three” symbols, and depending on your own belief systems (or what time period you refer), the triskelion can represent:
Life, death, rebirth.
Body, mind & spirit.
Mother, father & child.
Creation, preservation, destruction.
And more!
This necklace and handmade and painting silk pouch set, features my interpretations of the symbol. I chose gorgeous autumn/earthy colours and a beautiful piece of polished tigers eye for this peice, as if colour and stone could somehow connect its wearer to the ways of old.
Gold toned seed beads to compliment, mounted on nylon covered wire for strength, and a hand sculpted symbol bead. The necklace comes in its own hand made & painted silk bag, pigments have been steam fixed and closes with a velvety ribbon tie.
Fixed length of necklace: laid flat it measures 47cm end to end.
Care instructions: The material is durable and waterproof, but if dropped on hard surfaces chips or breakages may occur. Simply spot clean, or rinse as necessary.
